Heartfelt Creations Alumni Hop! - Blossoming Coneflower

I have a friend whose mother is at a nursing facility. It is always hard to find yourself in a situation like that. I try to send treats and this is the card that will accompany the gift treats for July :) 

I used the flower cling stamp set called Blossoming Coneflower. This pairs with Blossoming Coneflower die. I cut a few extra flower images from dark green cardstock and popped each layer up with small of mounting foam for a LOT of dimension. I think this is one fun and quick way to create a dimensional card. I used the gorgeous paper pack - Backyard Blossoms for the designer paper.

Purple cardstock, lavender cardstock,  mounting tape, opaque white ink, double sided tape, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers ( V01, V04, V05, V09), X-Press It Blending Cardstock or Copic compatible white paper. 

Cut a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch top folding card from white cardstock.   Cut 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch base layer mat from purple cardstock.  Using the Butterfly Kisses Paper Collection, cut a layer at 5 x 5 inches and sponge the edges with  the Guacamole Fluid Chalk Inkpad.   Adhere the layers using double sided tape. 

Stamp the butterfly image from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Color the image with the following Copic Markers ( V01, V04, V05, V09).  Cut with the corresponding die.   Cut 4 additional butterflies from purple cardstock.   Bend the wings up on each butterfly layer. Adhere the center of each layer using Designer Dries clear adhesive and allow to dry.     Adhere a small amount of Crystal Clear glitter to one side of the body.   

Cut the large frame from dark purple cardstock and lavender cardstock. Glue the two frames together and allow to dry.  Adhere the frame to the designer paper.   Cut the small lace medallion frame from lavender cardstock. Adhere to the center of the large frame.    Cut a dark purple circle using the Butterfly Kisses die set and glue to the center of the frame.   Adhere the Silver Gala Glitz to the purple circle using Dries Clear Adhesive.

Cut another dark purple and lavender circle and adhere together.   Die cut the sentiment "Thank You" from the same set using purple cardstock.  Mount the sentiment on the lavender circle. Position and adhere the butterfly as shown in the picture as shown.   Pop the sentiment up using mounting tape.

It's Inspiration Wednesday at Heartfelt Creations.   I would love to share a card I created using the Sweet Peony Collection.   Easy!  Peasy!   Easy to mail!   

Cut white card base at 5 1/2 in. x 11 inches.   Score at 5 1/2 inches to create a top folding card.   

Cut base layer from green cardstock to measure 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.    Cut the rose colored designer paper at 5 x 5 inches.   

Stamp the 3  images from the Peony Bud and Blossoms Collection.  I used Espresso Truffle Ink on X-Press It Blending Cardstock.   The image was colored with the following color combo (RV00, RV11, RV13, RV17, W4, Y000, Y00, Y04, Y15, Y18, G20, G24, G91, G93, G95). Die cut with the coordinating die.  Cut 3 additional blossoms for each image from Green Cardstock.  Layer the 3 green images under each blossom and pop up with a small amount of mounting tape between each.  This will add great dimension.   Avoid placing the tape too close to the edge to avoid the tape from showing.    

Cut a green designer paper from the Sweet Peony Paper Collection using the Eyelet Oval Die.   Cut an additional layer from foam matting.  Sponge the top of the green cardstock with 3D Green Grass Metallic Paint.   Sponge the edges with Olive Grove Memento Ink.   Splatter  the rose colored designer paper with more of the Metallic Green Grass Paint that has been thinned down with water.  A toothbrush works well for the splatter.    Adhere the foam to the green designer paper using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.  This will allow the green to show through the eyelets.    Use a white gel pen to accent the lines on the green mat.  Adhere rhinestones to the center of each eyelet.    Adhere the layers.   

Cut the sentiment from the Sweet Peony Designer Paper.   Mat with white  and green cardstock.   Pop the sentiment on the page as shown using mounting tape.

Copic Alcohol Ink Markers (BV,00, BV11, BV17 GY61, GY63, GY67), mounting tape, dark green cardstock, Mini Mister, Misty, pearls (graduated sizes),  heat tool, Versamark Embossing Ink, Detail Black embossing powder, X-Press It Blending Cardstock, black cardstock. 

Create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch top fold card from heavy white cardstock.  Cut a mat layer from green cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.   Cut a top  layer from the Lush Lilac Paper Collection at  5 x 5 inches. Sponge the edges of the designer paper with Lu Lu Lavender ink.    Adhere the layers with double sided tape.

Stamp  the bouquet image from the Sweet Lilac Scroll & Notes Cling Stamp Set.   The image was stamped with Lu Lu Lavender  Memento ink on X-Press It Blending Cardstock.  Color the image with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers (BV,00, BV11, BV17 GY61, GY63, GY67).  Die cut the image with the Sweet Lilac Scroll and Cage Die.  Cut 4 additional images from green cardstock and layer for dimension and strength.

Stamp the butterfly from the Botanical Wings Cling Stamp Set using Memento Expresso Truffle ink. Die cut with the Butterfly Medley Die set.  Sponge the wings with Rose Coral ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink and the edges of the wings with the Expresso Truffle ink.   Slightly shape the wings using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.   Adhere graduated pearls to the body of the butterfly with Designer Dries clear adhesive.

Apply the bouquet and butterfly to the card.  Adhere the I Cannot Tell a Lilac Prills as shown with Designer Dries Clear adhesive.

Stamp the sentiment  on white cardstock using Versamark and Detail Black Embossing Powder.   Heat set.  Die Cut the sentiment  and sentiment base using the circle nesting die.    Pop the sentiment up with mounting tape.

Create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch top folding card with heavy white cardstock.  Cut base layer from bright red cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.  Select the dark green designer paper from the Festive Holly Paper Collection and cut at 5 x 5 inches.  Apply a thin coat of crackle paint to the corners of the designer paper and sprinkle with Rajni's Frosting Powder.   Heat set to add a frosty, winter look.   As you apply heat to the frosting, it will become with and bubbles will appear.   Adjust the amount of whiteness and bubbles to your liking.   Apply various sizes of dots on the designer paper with white gel pen to give a snowy appearance.  Allow to dry and adhere the layers with double sided tape for added strength. 

Stamp the sentiment from the Festive Holly Cling Stamp Set with Versamark on the designer layer as shown.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set. 

Stamp the cardinal image from  Holly Berry Jingle Stamp Set with Desert Sand Ink on X-Press It paper.    Color the image with the following Copic Markers - (Cardinal - R00, R20, R21, R22, T1, T2, YR24, YR28, Berries- RV55, RV63, RV86, Leaves - YG11, YG61, YG65). Cut image with coordinating die.  Cut 3-4 additional die cuts of the image from dark green cardstock and adhere to each other for strength. 

Stamp the flower image from the Sparkling Poinsettia Stamp Set.  Sponge edges with a light touch with Berrylicious Ink.  Sponge the leaves with Cottage Ivy , Berrylicious and blue Iris Ink.   Shape the flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and assemble.   Emma Lou has a great tutorial on shaping the poinsettias HERE > https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/95/create-sparkling-poinsettias-with-vellum-and-stamp-paint.

Apply a light coat of crackle paint to the petals and sprinkle frosting.   Heat set the flowers.     

Apply the focal image to the card with dimensional foam circles.   Apply the flowers with a glue gun to complete your Christmas card.
