Copic Creations Challenge 42

"Anything new" is the theme for Copic Creations challenge 42. The challenge began with trying to find a technique I had not tried in the past. I decided to select "quilling". I have quilled in the past but I never tried to place a quilled project on a card. My first attempt did not work.... the butterfly turned out gigantic! This is not the card... just my first attempt at the butterfly!

I tried it a second time with a simpler version - and much smaller!

Ahh that's better. LOL

This is a close-up of the image from the wonderful stamp set "Buds & Vases" by GKD/Illustrator Melanie Muenchinger. It is such a versitile stamp set!

Hope you enjoyed the card. Thank you for stopping by and come back soon!

Flowers Make Every Day Special

I am finishing class 2 of Suzanne Deans' Color Me Creative Classroom. The CMCC has a challenge to use any focal image with "fur". I finished this little bear card for the lesson/challenge on fur and used the colorless blender on a cloth to make the fur look more realistic.

The focal image is from Wild Rose Studio - Milton & Co. "Milton With Barrow".
I think this image is so cute.
Copics: E25, E31, E53, E50 c9, c7, c5, c3,colorless blender,
70% rubbing alcohol on a cloth.
Flower Soft for the flowers
Spellbinder Nestabilities

I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for stopping by. Come back soon!

Thinking of You

Hello everyone. It is a new year and I am still thinking about what I want to do for my new year resolutions. You can't rush these things! I am leaning toward letting those in my life I care about know how much I care.... so here is my "Thinking of You" card!

This is the wonderful stamp set "Life is Good" by GKD: Illustrated by Theresa Momber. I used a rubber band technique for the base layer to give the image of train tracks.

I sponged the background with various shades of Memento ink and sent the card with love!

Have a fun filled "cropping" day!

Winter Peace

This was another Gina K Countdown challenge. Our base layer was to have some form of glitter applied to make it pop. We were to use glitter pens. I took the inspiration for this picture from watching the beautiful birds outside my window.

Thank you for taking time to look at my cards. Have an extra wonderful new year!
