Angel Blessings

Welcome!    I want to share a really adorable stamp from SP & Company (Little Angel with Stars) by Tina Wenke.   There isn't a stamp that woman creates that I don't love!

Totally Gorjuss just posted their wonderful challnege - Dotty    Now I know you can come up with all kinds of fun ideas around that theme.

Me?   you know I am crazy about backgrounds so my dotty theme is in my background!   It certainly is dotty -   Fun, Whimsical and Dotty!   LOL

It is with sadness that I must say I am stepping down from the Totally Gorjuss Design team.  I have been having some health issues and need to try to build my immune system just a titch.     I thought that stepping down from half my teams would help free some time for recovery.     This has been a wonderful DT to belong to and everyone is wonderful and supportive!     I shall continue to visit them frequently for some wonderful inspiration!

That's all for today and check back soon.  My door is always open!

Welcome!

It's time for a challenge at Totally Gorjuss!    Theme: Stripes!   Any kind of stripes will do! :D

I pulled out my Micro-Glitter Ritz in red and green and burnished it into doube sided tape.   The more you rub, the more the glitter will shine!    I needed to make certain my edges bumped up against each other  prior to adding the glitter.

The stamp was from the Winter Wonderland Set by GKD

Witches and Spiders and Bugs - Oh My!

Welcome to all our crafty friends out there!   Marie here and I want to share a little Halloween treat I will be giving out to a few of the special little witches that come to my door on Halloween this year.    I don’t know about you but it seems that every year I would go through my closets and trunks to find that perfect witch costume.   I don’t know why – but I loved dressing as a witch!
Well,  the Gill Robert’s Collection from SP & Company has the most adorable witch  stamp called GR Hallowwen Girl.   She has the most adorable face! She must be a very good witch with a sweet face like that!

Close up of my work in progress.
I used Copic alcohol ink markers – Sketch for this project.
Skin tones:  E50, E51, E53, E11, E000, R20
Hair:  E99, E97, YR 24 and YR20

Background: C1, BG10, Colorless Blender, Opaque White Ink

Technique
I drained a bottle of water.
I allowed the inside of the bottle to fully dry.
I cut a flap in the side of the bottle to allow me to slip miniature candies into the bottle
The bottle was then stuffed with Halloween paper trim.
The flap was sealed with tape .
My matted focal image was adhered to the bottle to allow the flap to be consea;ed
This technique can also be used with back to school themes,
using pencils, pens and note paper,
erasers and any other school supplies can be used to fill the bottle.

mp090213a

Hello  and  WELCOME !  This is a card i created for our MarkerPOP's  Inspiration Monday post!

I want to share a card I made with the adorable stap called Rock N' Roll Donnie from Inky Impressions.   This little mouse is just the cutest ittle fella!

mp090213b

This is a close up of this little mouse.   Doesn't he have the sweetest little face?

i used Cryogen (Curious Metallic) paper and stamped my image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (Tsukineko).  I used Copic  Sketch Alcohol ink markers to color this image.  I crated a technique I call "Marbelized" Backgrounds.
Copics Used
Fur:  E44, E47, E49 and R20, Copic Opaque White InkJacket and Pants:  B21, B24, B27, B29
Bow Tie:  R20, R22, R24
Shades:  T0, T1, T3 and R22 (Reflection)
Guitar:  E30, E33, E35, E37, E39

mp090213c

Have you ever wanted to try something different with your flower embellishments?   Well I decided to use two different types of paper to create this rose.   I wanted to give the appearance of  fragile rose petals opening.  The center was created by cutting paper cardstock freehand.   The outer fragile petals were created using punched vellum petals.   I love the fragile look.

I am linking this card with the following wonderful challenges!

I want to share that my Creative Background class is now available at Color me Creative Classroom!   Check it out!

Hugs, Marie!
