Welcome and happy Thursday!     Today I want to share a card I created for The Outlawz: Twisted Thursday Challenge that just started today.    The Theme is: Brads, Designer Paper and Embossing.   Wow!   There is a lot we can do with that menu!

Tip of the Day: Try using the complement of your shadow color to provide high contrast shadows.   Make a sandwich by Adding  your darkest color, applying the compliment on top and then your dark shadow color on top again.   Make sure to blend out with your midtones to make it smooth. .

 Tip of the Day:  Try using your Copic Alcohol Marker on your embellishments.  I just used an airbrsh system to color the pearls and on the petals of the flower.   This is optional.  If you do not have an airbrush system, you can just use your Copic Alcohol Markers directly on embellishments and on ribbon.  This is a way to make certain your colors coordinate!

I have been practicing for my Magnolia Class   at Color Me Creative Classroom.  I decided to do this tutorial so show my step in creating this card.

Tip of the Day:  You can add cohesiveness to your picture by using some of the colors you used in your image in the background.  In my card, I used Copic Markers to dot my background and then blend with B00 and C00, C01 to give a watercolor effecct.

Good morning everyone! It is time for another fabulous Color Me Creative Challenge . It's a fun challenge group with 2 challenges & prizes every month to get you using those Copic skills. Personal Challenge:
I am pushing myself to try more designer paper I recently discovered that I used bright/bold gorgeous colors (designer paper) when I took a pain pill due to a recent extraction of a wisdom tooth….. wow – maybe I should try that when I am not on pain pills!! LO L. I usually try to do my own background paper. I know…. But I live in an area that does not have a craft store close and I don’t have that much designer paper. You have to get just the right one!! No craft stores…… just a lot of turkeys all over my newly landscaped back yard!!!

Tip of the Day: I you are like me and lose you most loved Copic color at the most inopportune time….. you can pick up some color from your darker Copic marker with your colorless blender and use that….. at least until you find your “loved marker” under all the piles of necessary craft supplies… LOL

Shabby Chick is what is it all about! Gina K Designs is having a fun challenge called "Shabby Chick". Even the name makes me smile!

You may wonder what that means.... I know I did. Well STV explains the challenge below

Embellishments: Pearl and Recollections Adhesive Rhinestone Strip and Stickles


Tip of the Day: If the rubber on your rubber stamps are turning white, you can apply a light coat of glycerin over the rubber to avoid ghosting.




This is a close up image of this versatile little stamp. I stamped my focal image with memento Black ink. I stamped a second image and stamped one of the spiral images from "Bring the Bling" with Desert Sand. I colored the dress in light and dark cream using my Copic markers. I then paper pieced the skirt and placed it over my focal image. I Decorated the spiral design with Stickles. I used very little. I once read that "less is more" when using stickles and I am inclined to agree.

My Favorite Things

Copic Creations is having a new challenge - Any Copic image colored on your favorite paper. Check out all the fabulous cards at Copic Creations. They are gorgeous!

My favorite paper for layering for a card base is Pure Luxury. However, for focal images, I just love Cryogen. The paper is just wonderful for coloring with Copic markers. It is easy to blend and the paper saturation is just wonderful. I selected the following card for my challenge.
