Heartfelt Creations - Classic Rose Card with Butterfly

Welcome!  I am so glad you stopped by!

It is time for another project from week 3 of Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection!

I hope you are enjoying this collection as much as I am.
I have always loved roses and yellow roses are one of my favorites!
Did you know that by the 18th century, the world was in love with roses and
they could be found in may different colors.
The yellow rose is often associated with  sunny, cheery and happy thoughts!
And so with that thought -   I am wishing you a sunny and cheery day!

The Classic Rose Bouquet Cling Stamp  and Butterfly Medley Butterfly Cling Stamp was Inked with Tuxedo Black Memento Dye Ink Pad.   This is an ink that is Compatible with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers.   The images were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card Stock.  The Copic markers used were: Y11, Y21, Y26, YR21, G21, G82, YB63, W3, W4 and multilines yellow, orange and olive.    The images were then cut using the corresponding die - Classic Rose Bouquet Die and Butterfly Medley Die.  Die cut two extra sets of Classic Rose Bouquet on dark green  card stock.   This will be used to give the image dimension!   Layer 3-D Dots in-between the two green layers and then adhere the colored image on top.   For even more dimension, you can add dimensional dots or foam in-between the green die cut and the colored image.   The amount of dimension you want is up to you!  The dark green die cut will also  give the appearance of a shadow!    I gently shaped the leaves using my hands to give a gentle curve.  The back of the butterfly was lightly spritzed with a mini-mister.   The wings were gently shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Tip:  Emma Lou has a wonderful video showing how easy it is to line the die on images for that perfect cut.   You can view the video here -  https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/61/the-fool-proof-way-to-line-up-your-stamps-and-dies The Fool-proof Way to Line Up Your Stamps and Die

A 5 1/2 x 5 1/2  inch card base was created.  The base layer of apricot card-stock was cut at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4  inches.   A  beautiful green and apricot colored paper was selected from the Classic Rose Designer Paper Collection and cut at 5 x 5 inches.   This is gorgeous by itself but I always love texture so I used some texture paste and small brick stencil to the right bottom side of the designer paper.   Rusty Hinge Distress Ink was sponged over the top.

The flowers and butterfly were adhered to the card.  For embellishment, Wink of Stella and Diamond and Stardust Stickles were applied to the flowers and butterfly.

Thank you so much for stopping by!    I hope you are able to hop around to the blogs of my team mates and to check out the fabulous video Emma Lou has created!
Be safe.  Have fun and be creative!
See you soon!

Heartfelt Creations - Classic Rose Memento Box

September 21 post

Beautiful in color, exquisite in fragrance,  the rose is one of the most coveted flowers found in chic bouquets, or carefully tended flower gardens.

Breathtaking in bud form, as a blossom gently opening, or in full bloom, it is a flower that calls attention to itself and beckons you to pause and quietly reflect upon its elegance.

Heartfelt Creations invites you to stop, fall quiet and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the new Classic Rose Collection!

X-Press It Blending Card Stock, electric die cut machine,  Embossing/die cut machine, paper trimmer,  Fossilized Amber Distress Ink, Forest Moss Distress Ink,  Glue Gun, dried baby breath, green ribbon, Copics Alcohol Ink Markers: YO2, Y06, YO8, Y15, YR24.  The svg file was Mom's Garden Gifts.  The link is HERE

The rose images were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card Stock with Espresso Truffle Memento Dye ink.    The leaves were stamped on green card stock.  I colored the roses with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers but any coloring medium would work perfectly.   I used Copic Y02, Y06, Y08, Y15, YR24.    The roses and leaves were then die cut.   The roses and leaves were lightly spritzed with a fine mist of water and shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.   Emma Lou has a wonderful video on how to shape the dimensional roses  HERE

The roses were sponged with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink.   The leaves were sponged with Forest Moss Distress Ink.

The gift box was created from  the svg file called Mom's Garden Gifts (svgcuts.com).   The link is listed  under "other supplies".    The box was cut without altering the file.  It is an easy box to cut, fold and glue.   I used Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.   The designer paper I used came directly from the Classic Rose Paper Collection.  Isn't it gorgeous?!!!

A touch of Designer Dries Clear Adhesive was applied to a few of the flower edges and sprinkled with white Gala Glitz.   I love this stuff!  I think hit is my new addiction!
Ribbon was tied around the gift box and the  leaves and roses were adhered.   And now the final touch was done by adding some small pieces of baby breath. The gift box is now ready to be given to someone special!

Close-Up image of the Classic Roses and Leaves.

I hope you enjoyed my gift box !
I always love creating various size and shapes of gift boxes!
I particularly enjoy adding the beautiful roses and spray of leaves to
an accent!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Release - Vineyard Mosaic Card

I have had such a hard time keeping this release a secret!
I have been so excited about this amazing set of stamps and die from Heartfelt Creations-
Classic Rose Collection
I thought I wold have a little fun with creating a mosaic card!

Classic Rose Cling Stamp
Classic Rose Die
Classic Rose Vine Die

Designer Dries Clear Glue
Metal adhesive tip
Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink
Scor-Pal Scoring and Measuring Board

120 lb. ivory card stock, burgundy card stock, double sided tape, paper trimmer, die cut/embossing machine, opaque white ink, Copic Alcohol Ink Marker, Misty and misting spritzer bottle.

Stamp, color and die cut Classic Roses.  Die cut one  Classic Rose Vine. I stamped my images on X-Press It Blending Card Stock but you can use any Copic compatible paper.
I used the following Copic Alcohol Ink Markers - RV 21, RV35, RV29, R59 and a touch of Y15 (sparingly) to the highlight.

You can watch Emma Lou create  gorgeous flowers from the Classic Rose Collection HERE

Create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card with a top fold.  A mat from he designer paper was cut at 5 1/2 x 5 1/5 inches.  A burgundy mat was cut at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.  Lightly draw a line at 1 inch intervals in horizontally and vertically.

Distress and adhere the layers to the card base. Select a  designer paper from the Rose Collection Designer Paper Collection that has a pictures of a beautiful winery and  vineyard. Cut this layer at 5 x 5 inches. Cut in 1 inch strips.   I found it easiest to cut a lateral 1 inch strip and cut again vertically in 1 inch strips.

Adhere to the burgundy layer of card stock, using your lines as a guide.  Leave a slight space in-between each square.
Repeat with each strip.

Adhere the shaped Rose Vine and Classic Rose clusters for embellishment.

I added a burgundy layer to the inside of the card and a light colored designer paper that would allow  a sentiment or personal not on the inside.

for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy Heartfelt Creations as much as I do!
Check out my team mates wonderful creations.   They are such a creative designers!    You can find their blog links on my sidebar!

Heartfelt Creations Vintage Winter Box Card

Today I had some fun with a Vintage Winter Box Card.
I used the gorgeous paper, stamp and die sets from Heartfelt Creations' August release -
Snow Kissed Collection

When I think of the Winter Holidays and Christmas, I think of "Vintage".
I love the vintage theme that takes us to memories past.
Thank made me want to create a vintage themed card
that has the crisp and chilly feel of Winter.

HCDP1-269  Snow Kissed Paper Collection
HCD1-7107   Frolicking Frosty and Spruce Die Set
HCPC-3740  Snow Kissed Spruce Cling Stamp Set
HCD1-745  Luggage and Tags Die
TSMP801 - Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink Pad
173842 - Scor Pal Measuring and Scoring Board
DDots - Dimensional Foam Dots
159723 - Designer Dries Clear Adhesive
352854 - Metal Glue Tip

White card stock, navy blue card stock, opaque white ink, Vintage Photo Distresss Ink, Weathered Wood Distress Ink,  diecut/embossing machine, paper trimmer, double sided tape,  Star Dust  Clear Stickles,  self adhesive silver pearls, Box Card SVG Kit - from svgcuts.com

The box card was cut from the Box Card SVG Kit from svgcuts.com.   The layers were cut from navy blue card stock and the light blue designer paper from  the Snow Kissed Paper Collection.  The spruce tree was stamped on the background of the designer paper using Weathered Wood Distress Ink.   I continued to stamp 3 times with the stamp without re-inking in order to give a dimensional look.  I repeated the process.

The box was easy to assemble with the directions that came with the kit.  I omitted the design elements that came with the SVG Box  Kit (see other product list).   I substituted various sizes of spruce trees, a tag from Luggage and Tag's Die set and  snowflakes.  For the tag, I selected designer paper that had a snowman image.  Silver pearls were adhered to the center of the snowflakes.

The edges of the box card was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for that vintage look.  The box was embellished with Star Dust Stickles.    I love how the card folds flat for mailing.

Smile for the Day

Thank you
so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my vintage box card.
I hope you check out all the August stamps and die from heartfelt Creations
and come back and see the new September release next week.
You will not be disappointed!
