Something for Someone Sweet

Hello and welcome.

The week is rolling to and end and it is almost time for the weekend!   I have some friends coming for a barbeque followed by fireworks over Hogan Lake.   My patio has a perfect view! :D

I am going to share a card I created for my SP & Company post today.   I used this adorable image from a new stamp from Tina Wenke called Hedgie with Large Cupcake.

This is a close up of this wonderful stamp!

I colored the image with Copic Sketch Alcohol Ink Markers and applied Glamour Dust to the frosting.

Copic Markers Used:
Hedgie:  E30, E31, E33, E34, E42, E44, E000, E50, E53, YR14, R20, Colorless Blender and Opaque White ink.
Shirt:  G28, YG61, YG63, G40

I colored the focal image and then applied by background color.   I love how this turned out.

I am linking this card with the following wonderful challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by!   Be safe and enjoy your weekend!

Celebrate!

Yep!   It's time for the Outlawz to post another challenge on Twisted Thursday!

The challenge is always "Anything Goes" but if you want to participate in the challenge for more opportunities to win...... the twist is "4th of July".

This is my Design Team card for our patriotic challenge!     Shock Alert!   I did not use any Copic Alcohol Ink Markers!   I know - I can't believe it myself but it's true! LOL

I pulled out some of my embossing powder and embossed this wonderful stamp by ..............   on Pure Luxury "In The Navy" Cardstock (Gina K).   I also used some Pure Luxury Lipstick red, 80# layering white and 120# White Pure Luxury for my card base.    Do you think I like Gina K paper?   LOL

I was going to put a sentiment on the front but the more I looked at it the more I liked this simple card.

I will be linking this card to the following challenges:

I am dedicating this post to all you book lover's out there.   I know I always ike to stop my reading at a very suspenseful part.    It keeps me on the edge of my chair until I can get back and turn a few more pages!    Well.....   a bookmark (unless you are on an electronic reader) is just what we need to keep that special spot ready for us when we are ready to pick up our book again.    And speaking of books, what kind do you like?   For me it is mysteries - especially the subgenre of psychological thrillers!

The Next Little All Star

The Next Little All Star

Finished Card Size: 5.5” X 4.25”

It seems as if time goes by so fast.   It felt like yesterday -  We were young and filled with dreams and ideas of what we wanted to be when we grew up.    For some that happened.   For others,  lives took another path.   But every day is a day when we can dream again and start on our path anew and refreshed.   And much wiser this time!

Hello and HAPPY  Wednesday!

I want to share a card I created for our Scrapmaster's Paradise  Trends Challenge.   We would love to have you participate in this with us.    The challenge is to  "use some negative space" somewhere on your card or project.

There are many different ways one can creatively use negative space.   For my card, I chose to play around with the background.    I hand texturized the background with a Fiskars texture plate called "Bubbles" and debossed the paper using a stylus.   I colored the indented area with my Copic marker.   When an image if forecefully pressed into the paper, the raised portion is the embossed area and the indented area is the "debossed".   I am calling the debossed area my negative space.

I used the stamp Baseball Boy - a Gill Roberts Collection (SP & Company).    The image was stamped on Cryogen paper by Curious Metallic and the cute designer paper was from Echo Park called A Perfect Summer 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park).

Copic Sketch Markers Used:
Skin Tones : E11, E00, E000, R20
Suit: R24, R20, B000, B21, B42
T-Whirt: C0, C1
Shoes: R24, R20, C3, C0
Hair: C3, C5, C7
Bat: E0000, E23, E27
Background:  C0, C1, B000, B00

I will link this card to the following wonderful challenges:
SP Trends Challenge - Use Negative Space
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes.   (twist optional)

That is all for today.   I hope to see you at our SP Trends Challenge!
Have a very safe and wonderful week and check back Thursday for a card I created for MarakerPOP!
