Copic Creations is having a new challenge - Any Copic image colored on your favorite paper. Check out all the fabulous cards at Copic Creations. They are gorgeous!

My favorite paper for layering for a card base is Pure Luxury. However, for focal images, I just love Cryogen. The paper is just wonderful for coloring with Copic markers. It is easy to blend and the paper saturation is just wonderful. I selected the following card for my challenge.

Free Hugs!

It's time for another Sketch challenge at Gina K Stamp TV It is a cute little round card!

Isn't this just the cutest little sketch?
Here is my take on the card. I decided to use GKD/Theresa Momber's Little Critters.

Doesn't he just make you want to stand in line for those "Free Hugs"?

Technique: Copics, sponging and paper piecing

Measurements:
Scratch pice of Cryogen paper
Focal image base: 4.5 in X 4.5 in

Supplies:
Focal Image: Rubber Stamp by GKD/Theresa Momber’s “Little Critters”

Copic Markers : . V91, V93, V95, BV20, W4, G28, YG63, YG40, YG93, YG99 and Colorless Blender

Card stock : GKD Pure Luxury Vibrant Violet and Cryogen Paper for focal image.

Ink : Memento Tuxedo Black, Sweet Plum, LuLu Lavendar and Dandelion.

Embelishments: Rhinestones

Spellbinders Nestabilities “Standard Circles” and “Classic Circle Large Scallops”

Tip of the Day: Imaginisce has a wonderful little tool that allows you to adhere Imaginisce rhinestone without glue. It is a heat tool and your embellishment is applied quicker than a blink of an eye!

I "paper pieced" the focal image and assembled it on the scalloped base. The Pure Luxury Vibrant Violet really went great with the Copic colors. I applied the rhinestones with Imaginisce heat tool to complete the project.

Stop over at GKD gallery and look at all the wonderful entries for the sketch challenge. There are just so many wonderful, talented people!

Thank you for stopping and please feel free to leave a comment!
Hugs and Smiles from California!

Memories of Santa Fe

Good morning everyone! Did you know Suzanne Dean at Color Me Creative Classroom is still having a fun "pastel" challenge? It is time to get out those Copic colorless blender pens and have some fun! This is a card I created for the Pastel Challenge.

Technique: Using a “colorless blender” to give a soft, pastel color.

Personal Challenge:
1. Practice with using my colorless blender for soft colors
2. Practice with shadows and lighting. (Check out the shadow next to the pottery :)
3. Practice creating a background freehand. (Mountain range and horizon)

Measurements:
Card Base 5.5 in. X 8.5 in.
Score and fold at 4.25 in. (This makes card for a 2A envelope)
Card Base Layer 4 in. X 5.25 in.
Focal Base Layer 3.25 in. X 4.25 in
Focal Image Layer 3 in X 4

Supplies:
Focal Image: Rubber Stamp by Copper Leaf Creations – “Pot With Hummer”

Background Image: Posh Rubber Stamps “Cacus Cluster” by Dee Gruening

Copic Markers: YG63, G28, G40, BV20, BV23, BV 25, R20, R22, R24, E00, E11, E02, B000, B01, B02, B04, Colorless Blender

Card stock : Cryogen White for focal image, GKD Pure Luxury in White, Pumpkin Spice and Black Onyx.

Ink : Memento Black, Bahama Blue, Summer Sky, Bamboo Leaves. Tangelo, Angel Pink, Cantaloupe.

Tools: Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy, Paper Cutter (I use Fiskars), Scissors (Tim Holtz helps reduce pain for those with arthritis!), Quickie Glue Pen, Adhesive, large sponge daubers, brayer, Cuttlebug or die cutter, Distressed Stripes embossing and Pop Dots.

Tip: The problem: You want to create a background or image but you do not have “that one stamp you need”….. hee hee…. Isn’t that always the case?…. Just one more stamp is all I need- honest! Well the solution is to take your copic multiliner and sketch it in freehand. I have had to do that for backgrounds or images…. It works great but be certaint to use a copic marker so you do not ruin you precious Copic Marker!!

This is a close-up of the beautiful stamp I purchased while visiting Santa Fe. It is a rubber stamp from Copper Leaf Creations called "Pot with Hummer". I just love humming birds. I have feeders in my back yard and they come to visit every day. I remember one I named Cutie. He would come and hand less than a foot in front of my face and just talk for hours!!! I was trying to read a good mystery but I just had to put the book down and visit with the little guy!

I colored the image and then cut it out and used it as my focal image for this card.

I did not have a background tht looked like aSanta Fe mountain range so I created it with my Copic multiliner. I drew my horizon and then colored with my copic markers. I then sponged the background. I stamped the very light cactus cluster from Posh Rubber Stamsp "Cactus Cluster" by Dee Gruening.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Please stop by Color Me Creative Classroom and try your hand at some pastels!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment. I really find you comments inspiring!

Hugs and Smiles,
Marie

Technique: Pastels with Colorless Blender Technique from
Color Me Creative Classroom, Class 3, Suzanne Dean

Measurements:
Card Base 5.5 in. X 8.5 in.
Score and fold at 4.25 in. (This makes card for a 2A envelope)

True Friends

Hello friends! I picked up a stamp from Michaels the other day and I wanted to try it out. It is from Inkadinkado.

Measurements:
Card Base 5.5 in. X 8.5 in.
Score and fold at 4.25 in. (This makes card for a 2A envelope)
Base Layer 4 in. X 525 in.
Top layer 3.75 in. X5 in.
Focal Layer Scalloped circle Nestabilities Die
Focal Image Layer 3 in X 3 in Cryogen paper

Supplies:

Focal Image: Inkadinkado "Flower"

Copic Markers: B29, B27, B24, B22, B00, B0000, YG13, YG17,

Card stock : Cryogen White, GKD White Pure Luxury , Pure Luxury In the Navy and Pure Luxury Creme de Menthe

Ink : Memento Black, New Sprout,

Sentiment of your choice

Tools: Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy, Paper Cutter (I use Fiskars), Scissors (Tim Holtz helps reduce pain for those with arthritis!), Quickie Glue Pen, Adhesive, large sponge daubers, Cuttlebug or die cutter, Spellbinders Impressabilities "Flourish", Atyou Spica pen and jeweled embellishment.

Tip:
When you letterpress with Spellbinders Impressabilities, just dab the color to the plate. Do not rub. They are very fragile and will bend if you try to rub the color onto the plate.

I used the "Letterpress" technique for the card layer. I placed Memento Ink "New Sprout" on the Flourish Spellbinder Impressabilities plate and ran it through my cuttlebug.
"sand

I experimented with different colors of Atyou Spica pens. I decided to give some glits to the layer by adding "Sand" to the design. It is very hard to see the shine - but trust me - it is really rocks!

I assembled the ard and attached a jeweled embellishment to the center of the flower.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card. I always enjoy having you!

Morning Breaks

Hi everyone! I have been working on cards and projects but I cannot post them yet.... I can post them after the 15th. I will, however post a card I made using a stamp from an absolutely wonderful company called Stampscapes Inc. I used the stamp "Lakeside Cove".

For added interest, I used a Dreamweaver stencil and Memento Paris Dusk to ink the design on my base layer. I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for looking at my card. I really appreciate it!

Color Me Creative Metallic Challenge

Hi everyone! It is so good to be back I had a great time in Santa Fe but it is always good to get home. I returned to a week of 12 hours shifts. Yes, it is time for a week off and I plan to have a great time in my craft studio!

It is time for a challenge on Color Me Creative Classroom . The challenge is to create any Copic colored image that has a lot of "metallic" in it. It can be gold, tin, silver or copper. Doesn't that sound fun? Check it out and join in the fun!

I studied the tutorial on metallic that was done on this fabulous blog.... In Rosie's Book

I still need to practice, practice and practice... but this is the card I decided to create for this challenge - I hope Rosie likes it!

"Sunshine on Copper Vintage Milk Cans".

Technique:

My personal challenge for the Day: I wanted to challenge myself to make the background feel like an extension of the image. I wanted to bring the rustic copper into the background - kind of an image within an image!

Measurements:
Card Base 5.5 in. X 8.5 in.
Score and fold at 4.25 in. (This makes card for a 2A envelope)
Base Layer 4 in. X 5.25 in.

Tip of the Day: The Thin Copper from Create With Metal (Designer Metal Sheets) can be easily cut with your die cutter!

I also wanted to try coloring tin with the same digital image. Let's see how different it looks! I wanted the colors of the sky to reflect in the tin.

Sky Reflecting On Vintage Milk Cans
