We get to share our new release for you from Heartfelt Creations -   Singing in the Rain.    How fun is that!    Today, I colored this adorable image  with two little birds perching under and umbrella to take a little break from the light, Spring showers.

Mushroom and Snail Watercolor

Hello, my friends!

I had a watercolor practice session today featuring a mushroom and snail.   I used a tutorial from Maria Raczynska on Patreon.    I totally love Patreon and I am learning so much.

  • Holbein Watercolor
  • Arches 140# Cold Press Paper

It's pouring rain and the wind is very blustery.   I am bundled up with my flannel jacket and think it is a great day for watching movies at home!

Take care!

Special Moments to Remember

Happy New Year!   It's 2018 and I wonder what your hopes and dreams are for the new year...  Beyond the usual plan to lose a few pounds, I plan to take more time learning watercolor and oil painting.   I also plan on traveling more and to take a class by Annie Lebovitz in Photography!    My trips for the New Year will be a 21 day rail trip across Canada and a 21 day trip in France.    Now that's a big agenda!

And now for our Heartfelt Creations Camelia Carnation card for this week.     I decided to create a window card that will have some dimension bt not enough to prevent it from being mailed in a mailer.    I also wanted to create a card that can be used for any occasion.

HCDP1-285, Camelia Carnation Paper Collection
HCPC-3808, Fanciful Carnation Cling Stamp Set
HCD1-7166, Fanciful Carnation Die
HCD1-757,   Eyelet Oval and Basics Large Die
159723, Designer Dries Clear Adhesive
PGM15015, Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder
352854, Glue Tips - Metal
Pin6, Glue Pins
HCCC2-451, 8.5 x 11 Cardstock - White
TSMP- 900, Memento Dye Ink Pad - Tuxedo Black
532423-Kit, Sizzix Vagabond 2 with Solo Wafer-Thin Die Adapter
172742, Scor-Pal Measuring & Scoring Board

Dark Green Cardstock, Ranger Clear Crackle Paint, heat tool, double sided tape, rhinestones, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers (Flower - RV81, RV83, RV69, RV17, RV21 and  Leaves - YG91, YG93, YG95,  YG99,  YG03).

Cut heavy white cardstock at 5 1/2 x 11 in.   Score at 5 1/2 in. to create a top folding card.  Cut the green cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.   Find the designer paper with the water scene and cut at 5 x 5 inches.

Adhere the layers  with double sided tape and  cut a window using the large Eyelet Oval and Basics Large Die.    Also cut a white eyelet  frame using the same die set to adhere around the outer edge of the window using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.   The die nest perfectly and creates a beautiful eyelet around the window.

Apply Ranger Clear Crackle paste to the corners of the card and sprinkle with Rajni's Frosting Powder.   Heat set.   The longer the heat is applied to the powder and crackle paint, the  puffier the frosting.   The amount of puffiness will be a personal preference.

Stamp the Fanciful Carnation Cling Stamp on X-Press It Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.   Color the image with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers (Flower - RV81, RV83, RV69, RV17, RV21 and  Leaves - YG91, YG93, YG95,  YG99,  YG03).

Cut the  Fanciful Die four times from green cardstock and adhere  together with clear adhesive.  Adhere the colored image on top and allow to dry.   This will give some dimensional and allow the flower to "pop".     Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, adhere the flower to the window, as shown on the picture.   Apply three rhinestones at the upper right hand side of the card.
