My Thoughts:
One thing I am trying to do this year is to push my color and techniques a little more.
I want to use techniques that are new to me, try new color combos and try different types of ink.
When I looked at the gorgeous hair - I just knew I needed to have this stamp and see what I could do.

When I look at it, I see swirls and fluid movement. I Decided to apply the opaque white ink to give the
illusion of movement and I coordinated this with the embossing folder with flourishes.
I hope this pulls the card together to help showcase the movement of the hair!

Tip for the Day:
Do you need a larger die to mat your focal image? If you have already used your largest die in the nested set and you need to mat your image,
trace around the outside of the die you used for your focal image and hand cut the frame.
It will be a perfect fit!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card! Love the beautiful embossed background and great coloring. Thank you for sharing with us at Make It Monday. :)
ReplyDeleteYou succeeded marvelously well in creating 'movement' in this card. Love the excellent highlighting & shading in the hair, with just the touch of blue. Superb! Your emboss folder was just the perfect one with this imagine & your movement idea. This is such a dramatic card with the colors & mats that you chose. This stamp will be a really good image to do different hair colors for different ethnicities. TFS.
