MarkerPop: Two for One!

Hello everyone!   I have two cards to share with our that I created for MarkerPop.

The first is a little cutie I created using a little stamp from Whiff of Joy called Nora lowing Kisses.
We have a new challenge up and running and the theme is to color something "yellow".

THE PRIZE
This time we are giving away 2 Whiff of Joy stamps of winner’s choice.  One entry will be chosen at random to receive our prize (see above!). Three additional entries will be chosen for the Top 3 based on their amazing coloring skills. The prize winner and top three can all proudly post their brag buttons on their blogs for the world to see! Entries are due on Sunday, September 16th at noon EST. We are changing things up a bit this week with a comments contest as well!!
COMMENTS CONTEST
For every post you comment on over the next two weeks, you will be entered into a random draw for a $10 gift certificate to the MarkerPop Store! So make sure you are leaving the designers some love on their projects. We will announce the winner of our comments contest when we announce the challenge winners on September 16th. I look forward to hearing lots from you :)
The challenge will run through 9/16.   The link can be found here!
My second card is from La La Land Crafts.  I just one all the little Luka images and this is no exception!
Hello everyone!   Marie here and I want to share a card I created with the adorable little Luka image called Koala Luka from La-La Land Crafts.  I just love mail and I love packages even more!   I recently received my first order of Touch Twin brush markers in the mail   I could hardly wait to get my hands on them!   I have a lot - and I mean ALOT of Copic alcohol ink markers but I heard that the ShinHan Touch Twin markers work very well with Copic!    I always love to get in there and mix and match and see how many ways I can use a product!    It didn't take long for me to  decided to order some of the  ShinHan Touch Twin brush color combo's that would  enhance my wonderful  Copic collection.
My "TIP" for you today is that you can combine the Touch Twin  markers and Copic markers.
I know we LOVE our Copic markers and will not part with them but there is always room for more - that's MY motto!
You may want to start with one or two color combo's and see if you like them.
I decided to try to use them for skin tones on my image. and to use Copic markers for the rest of the image.
You may want to give it a try.
The Touch Twin  marks also closely  match many of the Copic marker  shades.
That means, you can  not only create new color combos
but you can also substitute some of  them in your Copic combos for an extra touch - No pun intended :)!
This Luka image comes in a deep rubber etched stamp,  mounted on a cling cushion that is ready to use with your acrylic block!
The size measures approximately 3 x 4 inches.  This is a perfect size for cards, 3-D projects and scrapbook pages.  I also like the size  because it give plenty of space to play around with extreme contrast in your coloring!
Touch Twin Markers Used:
Skin Tones:  YR29, YR25, R131
Copics Used:
Hair and Boots:  C9, C7, C5, C3, C1
Clothing and socks:  BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78
Little Koala:  W5, W3, W1, R20
Hat embellishment: G20, YG63, G40, E40, E42, E44
Grass:  G40, G43, G45, YG63, G28
I applied the base layers to my card.
I distressed the edges of my focal image mat in order to give it a rough tough OUTBACK look!
I hope you like this little card.   I just love the image and I know I will be reaching for it as one of my "go to" stamps!

I am linking these cards to the following challenges:
MarkerPop - Yellow
Make It Monday - Anything goes
Inspire me Friday's - Anything Goes

An now.....   I wonder what Touch Twin combo I am going to try with my Copics next time!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great rest of your week!

  1. Marie, Both of your cards are just wonderful. So now you have to tell me what do you think of the markers? I'm not sure if I want to order them yet, you have to tell me.... Do they blend better? One thing I must say I have been using the x-press it paper we got at the CHA and I'm so in love with it, the copic markers color so wonderful with this paper, have you tried the paper yet?

    1. Thanks Pat! Yes... I absolutely love, love and love the Touch Twin However, I have so much invested in the Copics I will not replace them. Suzanne has a list of markers that are different from the Copi and a list that are comparable. I will only be getting those that are different. The blend well together. I Do think they may even be a little smoother. Why not just try one color combo of 3-4 markers and see if you ilk that. In this case, I used Touch Twin for skin tones and Copics for the rest. I can hardly wait to try my next color combo!

I have not tried the new paper yet. OK - I will try it tomorrow! :D You twisted my arm, my friend!
