I used this really adorable pumpkin image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. It has a big floppy kind of look that makes the coloring a lot of fun.
Techniques Used:
- Copic Alcohol Ink Markers
- High contrast shading
- On paper blending and tip to tip blending
- Cameo Silhouette
The highlight was selected and hitting the pumpkin in the middle
coming from the left hand side of the paper.
YR07 was used for the shadow area.
YR02 was used to blend toward the highlight.
For high contrast, I sparingly applied R39 to the very bottom right hand side of the pumpkin that would be in the greatest amount of shadow.
The color was applied using a flicking method.
I then applied YR09 over the top to form a "sandwich" (one of Suzanne Dean's techniques in her CMC classes!).
- The image was grounded by creating grass around the pumpkin.
- Copics: G28, YG63, G40. I sketched a leaf in the air freehand and coloring it with the same green combo. I added B000 to the upper background in order to give the image a spacial reference.
Can you tell I got my Cameo in the mail? (Big Smile)!
I created a frame to fit my focal image.
Isn't it just so cute!
I layered my Design paper and added my new Cameo cut.
NEWS!
We are starting a new Cameo group on CMC and it is FREE
I am the "prezzie" LOL
It will be a fun place to find Cameo links, ideas, and share our projects - the good and the bad! LOL
I hope to see you there!

Hi Marie, Found you from Outlawz and LOVE your site. I very quickly looked at a couple of your tutorials (they are wonderful!), and will be bookmarking your blog to come back for a visit. I have a cameo since April, and so far, not used it yet! I have downloaded a lot of designs each month though. Hope you will come to visit me sometime. I'm going to see if I can get something done to enter in your fall challenge here. Your inspiration photo is awesome. TFS
