The Outlawz: A Rose for Mother

Happy Sunday to all my friends!   I want to share my card I created for my Guest Designer The Outlawz: Twisted Thursday Challenge.   The theme for this weeks challenge is  "Anything Goes" and if you choose to add a twist...... "Mother's Day".

And now for the challenge rules, sponsors and prize's that some lucky participants will be able to enjoy!
Challenge reminders -
  • If you choose to add the twist to your project, your name will go in the drawing twice for a chance to win the monthly Twisted Thursday specific prize.
  • If you enter more than one project in this week’s challenge you will receive a free digi stamp from Anne’s Digital Art. The digi stamp is exclusive to the Twisted Thursday Challenges and will change weekly so get your entries in to receive your free image.
  • And I know you haven’t forgotten that Twisted Thursday is now open medium so you can now use any medium of your choice, including alcohol markers ;o)
  • Please only one entry, per challenge per week into the Inlinkz and you must create a new project for the challenge. No back linking. Thank you!!!

We  have iCopic who is exclusively sponsoring our TT challenges monthly and a special offer for all Outlawz members!

I used the  image of a parrot Rose from Flourishes for my card this week.   I just love this image!     I know my mother just loved flowers and I think she would have really loved this card!

Copics:
Rose:: R000, R01, R20, R22, R24, R27, R89
Stem/Leaves: G28, YG63, G40
Background:  B0000, B000, White ink.

I used the Sizzix tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone to create this rose.  I used a quilling tool  to curl the edges to give a more realistic look to the rose.

I created a 3D envelope to use when I present the card to someone special.   I just use my 3-D envelope if I am going to hand the card to someone.  If I am going to mail this card,  I will place the eD Envelope in a Fed Ex box and mail it so it becomes not only the card but the gift! LOl
Here is the link for the tutorial I created for the 3-D Envelope.

I will link this card to the following challenges

  11. Hi Marie! Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog - I really appreciate it!! So glad that you are keeping up with the Great Impressions Stamps blog too! As for my supply list links...I use:

    http://www.inlinkz.com/

At the time I signed up it was free. Not sure if there is a cost now. It does take some work to link everything up...but once you've got your most commonly used papers and supplies linked it's super easy to add to your post. If you can't figure out how to sign up and want to...let me know. Have a great day!!

  20. What an elegant card, Marie! I can see why you love the image of the parrot rose! I like how you did the background swirl... I'm guess colorless blender? I am going to have try it - it looks great! I'm off to check out your 3D boxes... always wondered how to mail a dimensional card.
