iCopic: Tiny Baker Tina

Hello everyone and happy Friday to you!   It is a gores day outside.  It should hit the 70's in my area!   I feel like breaking out the lawn chairs and pill the propane take for some yummy barbecue!   How about you?!

It is my turn to post on iCopic Lover.   Wow!  those posting dates come around quick.... but they are so much fun!     I am excited to share this darling image called Tiny Baker Tina from Some Odd Girl.   Isn's she just the cutest?   I remember how I loved to bake as a child.   My mother was a great baker and I never quite achieved the same effect!   Anyway, this little image captures those childhood memories for me.

The fabulous thing about this wonderful clear stamp, besides being just so stinkin cute, is that it comes with two sentiments.   The actual measurements for Tina are 2.25 in x 3.5 in.   That is a perfect size for cards and projects!

Techniques:
Measurements:
Card Base 4.24 in x 5.5 in.
Base Mat 4 in x 5.25 in.
Designer Top Layer 3.75 in. x 5 in.

One of the fabulous things about Copic markers is the way they blend.    I used "on-paper" blending on this card.   I used a minimum of three colors in order to provide contrast. With on-paper blending, there wil be a light, medium and dark door.   I occasionally add C3 or W3 to my darkest shade sparingly in order to provide more shadow.   Your darkest color is then placed over the top again and the other colors are blended out.   Some people feel on-paper blending works best by starting with your darkest color.   Other's have the opposite view.   I vary it depending on my project.  My Copic Guru Suzanne Dean suggests starting with the darkest colors and blending toward the highlight   I tend to use that method most of the time since that is the way I initially learned Copics!     Experiment and use the technique that gives you the best results.   A smooth blend is the most important.

Skin tone:  E000, E11, E13 (sparingly).  A touch of R20 to cheeks and R20, R22 for lips.
Hair:  E11, E15, E17, E18, D19 and a touch of Y02.
Baker's Chef Hat/Apron/Cupcake frosting:  RV0000, RV00, RV21, RV91, RV95
Dress/ Socks/ Eyes/Bloomers: B0000, B21, B34.  I added C3 to bloomers for shadow effect.
Shoes: C7, C5, C3, C1, touch of Opaque White Copic Ink.

I used Mixed Berry Fairy Dust Glitter (Donna Salazar) to draw the eye to the cupcake.   This is a fine glitter and really adds sparkle to the finished project.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking at my card.   Have a fabuloso weekend!
