THCRD: Summer Lovin

Happy Monday to everyone on bloggerland!   It is a wonderful mid 80's here at the foothills of the Sierra in Calaveras County.  I am able to enjoy having the doors open and feeling the gentle breeze.  My three birds think they died and went to heaven.   The littlest thinks he is KING and holding court with the birds outside! LOL

I want to share a card I created using the wonderful digi image from Bugaboo stamps.  Through The Craftroom Door has a new challenge and it is up and running.   Che challenge is "Summer Lovin" from the theme of Greece.  Theme: Summer Lovin' from Grease

Sponsor: Bugaboo and Crafts 'n' Me
Prize: 7 free images $21 value/ 3 free digis
Summer Lovin lyrics
Duet with John Travolta

Summer lovin', had me a blast
Summer lovin', happened so fast
Met a girl crazy for me
Met a boy cute as can be
Summer days drifting away
To, uh oh, those summer nights

(Uh Well-a, well-a, well-a, uh!)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
(Did you get very far?)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
(Like does he have a car?)

She swam by me, she got a cramp
He ran by me, got my suit damp
Saved her life, she nearly drowned
He showed off splashing around
Summer sun, something's begun
But, uh oh, those summer nights

(Uh Well-a, well-a, well-a, uh!)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
(Was it love at first sight?)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
(Did she put up a fight?)

Took her bowling in the arcade
We went strolling, drank lemonade
We made out under the dock
We stayed out till ten o'clock
Summer fling don't mean a thing
But, uh oh, those summer nights

(Tell me more, tell me more)
(But you don't gotta brag)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
('cause he sounds like a drag)

He got friendly holding my hand
Well, she got friendly down in the sand
He was sweet, just turned eighteen
Well, she was good, you know what I mean
Summer heat, boy and girl meet
But, uh oh, those summer nights

(Tell me more, tell me more)
(How much dough did he spend?)
(Tell me more, tell me more)
(Could she get me a friend?)

It turned colder; that's where it ends
So I told her we'd still be friends
Then we made our true love vow
Wonder what she's doin' now?
Summer dreams ripped at the seams
But, oh, those summer nights

(Tell me more, tell me more)

I will Always Remember.... What was it????

Hello everyone.  This is my week off and .... yep... I am a happy woman!    I grabbed a cup of coffee and headed into my craft room to have some fun!

I am so excited to share the new challenge The Outlawz: Twisted Thursday - is having.  It is an "animal" theme.  I think a lot of people just love animal themes - I know I do!     I created this elephant card in hopes of discovering how to improve my memory.   It must be a secret known only to elephants!
I used this adorable image from GKD called Wild About You.   I just love the stamps that Theresa Momber illustrates.  I think you already know that about me!

This image was stamped on Cryogen scratch paper.  This stuff is expensive so I use every bit of left over paper!    The dark shadow is W7 and applied in a flicking motion.

W5 was applied.  Excuse the blue hue.  I was playing with my white balance.... Bad idea LOL!
Back to the camera manual!   :D

W3 was the min-done and that means most of the coloring was done with the W3.

W1 and W00 was applied for highlights

E33 and E30 was applied to the tusks.   The image was  paper pieced with Cutterbee scissors and the small areas in-between the legs were removed the a Cutterbee blade.

The background was sponged.
Ink Used:
Memento Rick Cocoa
Memento Canteloupe
Ranger Shaded Lilac Distress Ink

and

I have been practicing drawning my Manga images.. I have been studying the drawings and Copic colored images that Neva does on her blog HERE.  On an email, she told me to practice every day.... so that is what I have been doing!     This is one of the early attempts.  The little hair sticks look like horns coming out from the top of her head!  LOL
