Heartfelt Creations - Under the Sea Shell Card

Welcome, my friends!  I am currently in Arizona at a Copic Boot Camp!   Jennifer Dove and Zoe will be helping us take our Copic skills a step farther.   Yes... Its Hot! Hot! Hot!   with temperatures ranging  over 100 degrees every day....   That makes this a perfect day  daydream about the ocean and  introduce the Under the Sea Stamp and Die Collections from Heartfelt Creations!   This wonderful collection is filled with images of portholes, fish, sea shells, sea horses and gorgeous coral!

It's our  New Release  Day from  Heartfelt Creations!   That means all our fabulous designers will be showcasing a card or project from the new Under the Sea Collections.

Things are always better "By the Sea" in my book and I jumped at the chance to crate a card using this adorable sea shell and seahorses!    I love this stamp set with coordinating die!

Other Products
Heavy white card-stock, navy blue card-stock, X-Press It Blending Card, die cutting  machine, double sided tape,  glitter in coordinating blue and green shades. Copic Alcohol Ink Markers, white opaque white ink, Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink, one brad, texture paste, mini misting bottle

Instructions

Cut card base at 5.5 in. x 11 in. and score in landscape position at 5.5 inches. This will create a 5.5 in. x 5.5 inch card.  Tip- cover the scored line with a pice of paper prior to scoring  the fold to avoid  unwanted line marks on your card.    Cut base layer of blue card-stock at 5.25 in. x 5.25 in. Cut designer paper (Under the Sea Paper Collection) at 5 in. x 5 in. , Stamp the shell and two seahorses on X-Press It Blending Card or any  Copic compatible paper with Memento  Espresso Truffle Ink.  Color the seashell.   I used Copic markers- Sea Shell:   E000, E00, E02, E33, E35, E37, W5 and opaque white ink.  Seahorse #1 : E49, YG63, YG65, YG61, G28, opaque white ink.   Seahorse #2 : YR27, YR23, YR20, B28, B24 and opaque white ink..  Die cut the stamped, colored images.  Sponge the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink..  Lightly spritz the back side of the images with a mini mister. and  mold the dimension using the Flower Shaping Kit.   Allow the image to dry.  Optional- I added a light coat of texture paste on the underside of my shaped images.   Allow the texture paste to dry.   This is optional but I love doing this on images that have a lot of shaping.   Cut a 5 inch strip of 2 inch double-sided Tape.  Cut 4 wavy lines across the tape in a landscape orientation as shown in picture.   Adhere each strip of tape to the bottom of the designer paper.   Make sure to bump each strip up against each other so it appears as if the strip of tape has not been cut.   Remove the protective covering off the first piece of tape revealing the adhesive.   Burnish one color of glitter into the adhesive strip.   The more you rub the glitter, the prettier it will look!   Repeat the process on each strip.  Burnish the next color of glitter well before moving on to the next strip. Continue with each strip until you have completed covering and burnishing all of the strips.   Note:  Burnishing the glitter really well before moving to the next strip and new color of glitter will prevent the glitter from mixing together and your strips with appear distinct and yet, coordinate with each other.  Adhere the layers of card-stock and designer paper on the card base using double-sided tape.  Cut the sentiment from Under the Sea Paper Collection and add a brad.  Adhere the sentiment to the card.

Thank you for stopping by!   I hope you check out  all the fabulous cards and projects my "Teamies" created.  Their links can be found on my sidebar!
