I just wnat to make a quick update for you. I vacationed in New York for a Mystery Conference. During that time, I developed severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. I do not remember any of the conference because my oxygen was at a critical low even with high oxygen.
I was admitted to Albany Medical Center. I had cardio-thorasic surgery and I had fluid in my pericardial sac and pleural space around both lungs. The pressure was so high it cause high pressure in my pulmonary arterial system and right side of my heart. The right side of my heart was not working.
The fluid was drained from around the heart and pleural spaces. Tissue samples were taken. The tissues were very inflamed amd swollen.
I was able to fly back to California this weekend. (I could kiss the ground if I could get down there!)
I saw my Doctor and she is following up with all the pending test results. At this time - the only tests that came back positive seem to be autoimmune. I will be seeing a rheumatologist within the next few days.
I just want to know the reason and hope to get it treated.
I am feeling weak and have a hard time writing or trying to hold a Copic marker - I hope to try to start back on a few of my Design Teams on the 25th. I cut them in half because I will have enough to do with the three remaining teams and my CMC BAckground class I teach. I am trying to relax and keep stress low - that is hard for me to do! I tend to be Type A!. LOL
Please know, I will be back. Expect to see something around the 25th of this month and I am sorry for th delay in posts! I am checking homework daily and interacting with my CMC BAckground Classroom -
This is how my three birds, dog and cat acted when I finally returned home!!!!
Take care and thanks for hanging in there with me!
Hugs,
Marie
I'm so sorry to hear you have been unwell Marie and hope you are soon fully recovered and raring to go again xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are home now, Marie! Sending prayers for some definitive answers and a path forward to a full recovery. Take of yourself.
ReplyDeleteMarie, I'm glad you are taking it easy. You have had some very serious happenings going on with you and we can't afford for you to try to do to much. I just hope your family and friends are spoiling the heck out of you and taking great care of you.
ReplyDeleteAs for that picture you posted, I know that face all too well with our dogs when we go away. Some days if we are running errands I call them to our bed for kisses good-bye (they have their own little house that sits on top of the bed that they go in when we are not in the house - I guess they feel safe in there). they will go on the bed in their house but turn their heads and REFUSE to give a kiss good-bye. If I've been away and have touched another dog or cat, they won't kiss me either, just turn away. They are so darn cute. Talk to you soon. Stay healthy.
Big Hugs & Love
Donna
So good to hear from you Marie. You have been in my prayers and will continue to be. So glad you are back home and with your own Dr. I have RA and see a rhuematoligist. (sp) I am very interested in what you find out because you are my friend and because I have RA. Hope you continue to get stronger each day.

I imagine you are thrilled to be back home--illness is no fun anytime, but especially while traveling! I am sending you well-wishes for a speedy diagnosis, treatment, and recovery! :^)
ReplyDeleteBiggest hugs, Penny
Oh for heavens sake Marie, please take care of yourself and don't push it. That was a very serious episode you experienced and need time to recover. They will figure out what caused it, especially if autoimmune related and treat it accordingly. Adorable pictures of the pets. They do scold us when we leave them for very long.
ReplyDeleteSending you BIG hugs and saying lots of prayers for a speedy diagnosis and recovery. "Hugs"
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you have been so sick. I do hope that you are taking it easy!! I am taking the cmc workshop you do. I have watched some of the videos, but have not tried much yet as i seem to be a bit short on time at the moment, plus i ordered a few more copics so I could try a few more of the techniques.... I do love the backgrounds on your images and am looking forward to practicing some of these techniques!! I hope you are getting some answers to what is wrong and that you are feeling much better!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are taking the Background class Kylie! It's great that you are enjoying the videos! Even if you do not have time to try them out and post them at this time - no worries! You have time :D I hope you check in and chat with us on our discussion/comment section. We are a crazy group and just have a lot of fun!
