CMCC Pastel Challenge

Color Me Creative Classroom has another fun challenge - Pastels! I just love Springtime. The birds are singing and all the new little blossoms start popping up all over! This is my card for this challenge.

Technique: Pastels with Colorless Blender Technique from
Color Me Creative Classroom, Class 3, Suzanne Dean

My Challenge: I wanted to try to do an image with touching my colorless blender to my selected color. I did not use the colored copic directly on the image. It is an indirect method. My other challenge was to stencil my background with a Dreamweaver stencil. Wow... two new things with one card!

Measurements:
Card Base 5.5 in. X 8.5 in.
Score and fold at 4.25 in. (This makes card for a 2A envelope)
Base Layers 4 in. X 5.25 in. and 3.75 in. X 5 in
Focal Image Layer Large Petite Spellbinder Nestabilities
Base Focal Image Layer Large Petite Oval Spellbinder Netabilities

Supplies:
Focal Image: Digi Doodle Shop “Daffodil Girl”

Background Image Base Layer: Dreamweaver Stencils “Hibiscus”

Card Stock Cryogen White, GKD Pure Ivory, Vibrant Violet and a light violet by Bazzel (I cannot remember the name. I think it was a smoothy Very Berry packet).

Ink : Memento Black and Sky Blue

Tools: Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy, Paper Cutter (I use Fiskars), Scissors (Tim Holtz helps reduce pain for those with arthritis!), Quickie Glue Pen, Adhesive, large sponge daubers, Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Large Oval Die Dreamweaver Stencil “Hibiscus” and s flat tipped stencil brush.

Tip of the Day: Look around you for sources of inspiration. Everything in nature has a story to tell and is just waiting for you to notice! 

  7. When you see the card on your post it really draws you in, but when you enlarge it, it's crazy how you just stare at the depths of her eyes. Makes my inner child wanna go lay down in beautiful flowers and roll around. Think my neighbors with the garden will mind? ;)
    Hugs 2 U!
