I Told a Little Bird that I was Thinking of You

I send my wishes for a wonderful New Year to  each and every one of you!   I know I made more resolutions than I will ever be able to keep.  LOL   How about you?

We get to share our new release for you from Heartfelt Creations -   Singing in the Rain.    How fun is that!    Today, I colored this adorable image  with two little birds perching under and umbrella to take a little break from the light, Spring showers.

Dark navy blue cardstock, blue ribbon, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers ( Umbrella/Birds -Y00, Y21, Y24, Y38 -  Flowers/Leaves  V000, V20, V17, R11, R20, R24 YG02, YG97, YG99, YG91), white gel pen, mounting tape and  double sided tape.

Cut white card base to 5 1/2 x 11 and score at 5 1/2 inches to create a top fold card.   Cut dark blue cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and the gorgeous blue designer paper from Singing in the Rain Designer Collection.  I selected this because it gives the illusion of rain in the background.

Stamp the umbrella with birds and flower images on X-Press It paper using Espresso Truffle Ink.    Color the focal images with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers  ( Umbrella/Birds -Y00, Y21, Y24, Y38 -  Flowers/Leaves  V000, V20, V17, R11, R20, R24 YG02, YG97, YG99, YG91).  Pop up the dots on the flower centers and umbrella with a white gel pen.

Die cut  the images with the corresponding die and cut three additional images of each from dark blue cardstock.  Adhere the "like"  layers using Dries Clear Adhesive for added strength.

Stamp the sentiment from the  Raindrop and Sentiments set.  Die cut with the Circle Basics Large Die.  Use the dark blue designer paper for the mat.   Adhere using Dries Clear Adhesive.  Tie a blue ribbon around the designer paper.   Adhere the layers of the paper to the card base.   Pop up the sentiment with mounting tape.
