SP & Company: Have A Turtle-y Awesome Birthday!

=

Hello everyone!   I am on my week off from work so you know I am one happy woman!   Wink Wink!

I am so excited to share a card I created using one of Samantha Peyton's wonderful stamp sets called Turtle-y Awesome!   I don't know why but I just love turtles.  I had one as a kid....   but it didn't live long.  I think I am trying to be a better parent by making a nice home for them on my cards.    I do think turtles are great.   One thing that is on my wish list is to swim with the turtles in Hawaii.   I tried to do that on a vacation but rain and strong winds made us turn the boat around.    It is on my list for my next vist!   You can bet on it! :D

Stamp: Turtle-y Awesome - Darlingly Delightful Stamps by Samantha Peyton (SP & company)

Copics Used:

Turtle:  G28, YG63, G40, B000, B93, W3, W5
Pebbles/Grass:  W5, W3, W1, YG63
Background:  BG0000, BG00, BG10, G000, W1, Colorless Blender, Opaque White Ink

Paper:
Cryogen for focal image (Curious Metallic, Inc)
Green from my stash
Designer Paper : All About A boy - Curious Paper (Echo Park)
Flowers cut from a beautiful designer paper from SP & Company.

I had some gorgeous floral designer paper from SP & Company and I cut two flowers out.   I curled by second flower with a quilling tool and arranged it on top of my first flower to add dimention.   I added a pearl to the center

Don't you think the little flower came out cute?   I love the little sentiment that comes with this stamp set.    I have a friend that is having a birthday coming up so I selected the birthday sentiment.    I really love the background designer paper as well....  All About A boy - Curious Paper (Echo Park)

  2. I love the colors on this card! The blue and green color combination looks great, and I like the pop of color from the flower, it makes a nice contrast. You did a wonderful job with the coloring of this sweet image too!

P.S. Last trip to Hawaii--we got to see a beached sea turtle--took lots of photos! And I got to photograph one under water, which was swimming toward me. We always seem to be around them when we go snorkeling over there! Hope you get the chance too! :^)
